What is Magnawave and how can it help my animal?
Each cell in an animal’s body is actually just like a battery that holds a charge. Their body is electrical and the cells each need a measurable electrical charge to function optimally. In order to maintain good wellness, cells must be doing their jobs. MagnaWave uses PEMF to help support the animal’s overall wellness to optimize balanced functions.
The blood oxygen is increased, the lymphatic system is activated, and acupuncture points are stimulated. This process reduces pain and inflammation and promotes overall health. The idea of PEMF is to help relieve inflammation. Pain is thought to be caused by inflammation, if we can relieve the pain and swelling, the body can begin to recover naturally.
How does Equine Sports massage help my horse?
Through massage, tension and adhesions are broken up by using a series of different strokes. By increased circulation and oxygen to the area, the body naturally removes the toxins and tension from the affected areas leaving the horse feeling more relaxed, in less pain, and able to perform better than before.
What is cold light therapy and how does it help?
LLLT is used to reduce inflammation, the most common cause of musculoskeletal pain. Research has shown that it reduces the cells and enzymes responsible for causing inflammation and increases antioxidant and anti-inflammatory enzymes.
What is percussion massage and how does it help?
A percussion equine massage gun is a hand-held deep tissue tool that uses rapid strokes to stimulate blood flow to the muscles. The equine massage gun delivers strong pulses and vibrations into the muscle tissue, promoting better circulation, relaxing the muscles, and easing pain and soreness.
This service is added on to the Equine massage as a second modality to treat the larger muscle groups or areas that indicated a greater need.
How often should my animal be treated?
Many times these modalities are used pre or post event, when healing from an injury or part of a maintenance program to keep the animal performing at its peak.
We can discuss your individual needs and devise a plan to best support the needs of your animal.
